South End Specials

Featured this week on Masslive was a Boston home, a townhouse in the South End, selling for more than $3.8 million. Too many thoughts have raced through my mind to lay them all out here on this blog so instead I will comment only that, if I were to have saved every dollar I had ever earned and could somehow possess every penny I am likely to earn in my lifetime I would not have enough money to purchase this home. On the other hand, the home in which I live, more humbly maintained and furnished to be sure, cost me less than one year of my current salary.
