Ever expanding and changing, our urban oasis is taking shape.
We’ve added an asparagus bed (trust me, they’re there) which in years to come will provide some early season comestibles.
The garlic, after a Winter of discontent, is looking lively.
More peaches than ever before; do I thin the fruit myself, or wait for the squirrels to do it?
These are beans, pigeon peas, and red cabbage.
My wife has planted an herb garden, with more still to come.
Tomatoes and peppers are just in, with some melons, cucumbers, and squash in the tower.
The strawberries, LuLu’s bed, and some overflow tomatoes.
Some hanging peppers and my wife’s favorite flower.
We’re removing the deck this Summer and moving the arbor in order to expand “the vineyard”.
Flowers in the front, though we may add some bags of edibles.
There’s lettuce scattered throughout (one of our experiments for the year) and I built a natural barrier to visually seperate our neighbors unkempt space from our own.
These pictures were taken over the last week, this morning it looks like this:
Looks great!
